I’m the Loneliness

In this street men come and go,
they walk on the edge of the path
deaf to the sound of birds,
so that, one by one,
they vanish in the sands of eternity
My heart  beats with the rain
knowing neither gain nor loss
[ I will not be a stranger to myself ] I’m the  silent sea
I’m the loneliness
I’m the  loneliness
my gates are open
I’m searching for memories
among the ruins of men
In the vortex of time
no road is too distant
[I don’t  need a motive
to join the  party of life ] Given my wings of madness you can fly
to the highest heavens
where poetry blooms
I’m the bride of blessed  or damned
I’m the  loneliness
I’m a game of chance
I  see beyond the mask
There are no heroes
when I change the colour of things
I’m the loneliness
[anxiety and sadness
 are  only paranoid  illusions] I’m the  silent sea
I’m the loneliness
I’m the  loneliness
my gates are open
I’m searching for memories
among the ruins of men
In the vortex of time
no road is too distant
You walk in front of your soul
until the slow decay of things
and fallen leaves hide the path
When the noise of rain replaces the songs of birds,
you will find again
you will find me
